Does the application offer user rights management?

Gathering Tools allows you to secure your projects by assigning to each user an account with the privileges strictly necessary to perform his tasks.

The management of rights is based on 2 concepts:

Types of accounts

Gathering Tools offers several types of accounts, which each determine a scope of functionality

CategoryManaging AccountsCreating Templates & ActionsRunning ActionsValidating AnswerAccessing documents and submitting answersMandatory Account
Administrator
Developer
Manager
Validator
Respondent / Recipient

You will note that respondents may not have an account, in which case they do not connect to the platform and only receive documents by email. The transmission of answers from users without an account can also be done by email.

The perimeters

In addition to the restrictions linked to the type of account, it is possible to restrict the rights of users to a particular perimeter (for example, a user may have a validator account: he or she can only consult and validate answers, but it is also possible to restrict this validation to certain document templates for certain subsidiaries)

  • For managers and validators, scopes are defined by making filters, which can be static (based on document templates) and/or dynamic (based on data)
  • For respondents, scopes are automatically defined when documents are published. It is then possible to withdraw authorisations by closing publications and/or using rights withdrawal actions, which can be triggered by managers or automated.

Note: privileged users (administrators and developers) have full access to the objects of the instance to which they are connected. Their perimeters can, however, be restricted by creating separate instances.
